Goob ran into a lady at the feed store who asked his advice about her missing eggs. She thought she had a problem with sneaky rats stealing her hens’ eggs. We have also heard of snakes stealing eggs and eating them, but you can usually tell if that’s happening by the big lump in the middle of the snake.
Goob didn’t think that either of these were actually the culprit. He told the lady to take a close look at her hens around their mouths. According to Goob, if a hen gets a taste for eggs, she will eat them shell and all. Unless you can see the evidence around her mouth, you will never know what’s happening to your eggs. Sneaky hens!
